She is visually impaired (totally blind).
She began piano lessons at the age of five, and learned to read music and master pieces by using Braille notation.
After graduating from Toho Gakuen School of Music, she went on to complete a doctorate in music research at Toho Gakuen School of Music.
She has studied under Katsurako Mikami and Emiko Tsukahara.
Awards she has received include the Grand Prize in the Piano Solo Division of the Kawai Music Competition
Special Jury Prize and 4th Prize in the Kawai Asia Piano Competition
Bronze Prize in the Hokkaido Chopin Student Piano Competition
