Yoshihide Miyanoya / Conductor

Profile

Born in 1975 in New York City, he suffered a spinal cord injury in a car accident at the age of two. Graduated from ICU with a BA in Liberal Arts and completed a postgraduate course in composition and conducting at Tokyo College of Music. 

Currently based in Tokyo and Osaka, he conducts regular concerts of amateur orchestras and actively performs and lectures at elementary and junior high schools, nursing homes and facilities for the disabled. Music director of Orchestra Tokyo; conductor of the MFL Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Chemical Society of Japan and the Welfare Orchestra Magokoro.
